Most people shrugged this off as a one-off thing and if a second threat is done after the first one has been entertained; it will most of the time never work!
But time and again I have seen with my own eyes; it does work effectively.
Threatening to do some damage to one's employer in an indirect manner is already a popular weapon of choice where I work.
There are individuals who have moved on far and high by putting themselves in a irreplaceable position and a threat or two has seen them catapulted to heights no simple wage-earner can ever fathom or muster enough courage to do so!
Of course I have seen many failures where the instant a threat is issued, the same instant the axe of termination fell upon the neck of the poor soul, this ruining whatever opportunity that lies ahead!
So kudos to those who play their pieces well in the chess of threats!
