#84 All is not what it seem!

It’s been a long while since I last altered the pages of this blog.

Just picture this.

A businessman who is not doing so well and is always seen driving around in his well beaten run of the mill Beetle.

As such he was perceived as a failure among his circle of profession so much so that he is as much as declined even before he can offer his services.

Then one day he was eating in a famous hotel and was enjoying his sumptuous noodle up to the point when the bill came. It was literally eye popping when the exorbitant amount was presented to him. Still he has to pay but this set him thinking.

The same noodle in a roadside stall which tastes so much better was also priced so much lower but does not attract the same customer.

Immediately the next day he sold off his Beetle and bought the newest car that Mercedes has to offer. And he began making calls and setting up appointments with potential customers.

Needless to say his business does get better and soon the Mercedes was paid for.

A lot of judgments are passed even before the facts are properly analyzed, and this businessman makes full use of it.

However this is not what I wanted to say although it is very much related.

The fact that the businessman ‘invested’ in a large sum of money to acquire the car may seem like a high risk that may yield no return would have made us think the businessman is taking a very high risk.

It is in fact a case of a very much lower risk as oppose to what we may have perceived. He has been losing opportunities due to his poor image and he just improves on it as he knows he has the capabilities but not the outlook.

So what most of us see as an investment risk is just a delay of investment return. There is actually virtually no investment at all considering the return that he is getting.

To sum it up, if the businessman sells off the Mercedes, he actually never paid for it and whatever sales proceed is his profit.

Now this is the world today and this seemed so familiar to most of us if not all of us.
